In the end, the dealer paid off the loan on their other truck (which they bought from the same dealer a year and a half ago), knocked a total of $8,000 off the sticker price, and is replacing the mismatched headlight for free.

That sounds like a good dealer, nice truck, black eye and all.

My parents have an earlier version of that truck. They've got a fifth wheel on it, and use it to haul their home around. They're happy with it, so I anticipate it'll give good service to your 'rents, as well.

    It's a Mopar. That's the reason.

Now, now. my new focus the pasenger seat belt bottom bolt completely pulled out the first week. The bolt was held on by one thread. It shouldn't happen but it does and the dealer in my case as well as ChromeScholar's parents case have/will repair with the utmost haste and satisfaction. Customer service have come a long way since Pintos were exploding on every corner .

A friend of my dad's bought a Dodge Omni back in the early '80s. It came off the hauler with an Omni badge on one side and a Horizon badge on the other.

Leave it, add class. My dad drove a ford pu for years that was a F150 on the right but a F250 on the left

I've got a better one for you. When American Motors came out with (I believe it was) the Hornet, a mistake on the assembly line caused 3 of the early units to be built as a 2-door on one side, and a 4-door on the other side. My dad was an engineer at AMC when it happened.

I knew the mopars are getting beat at the tracks pretty bad but to have to carry it over to the street is sad.
