MacWage,
How could you pass up Stone Mountain for a wedding? But on second thought if it's important to the other half you had best go, it could save you years of discomfort.
We will look up Kathy at Stone Mountain. I am sure she will enjoy the time she spends at the Stone Mountain games. The weather is usually fantastic and the attendance is huge.

I probably should note for folks new to kilting, or not familiar with some of our western U.S. resources that Kathy is pretty much an icon for me.
I don't know enough about kiltmaking to say she's any more or less talented than the many other hand sewn kiltmakers around the world. She was trained at the Keith Kilt School in Scotland and has hand sewn over 1,000 kilts to date...eight of them babies are hanging in my closet.
I've noticed a lot of kiltmakers lead pretty low key lives, maybe because they're home crafting kilts. But here's a chance to meet Kathy while she's not in a work mode. When I've been to Highland Games where she's a vendor I pretty much have to stand in line just to say hello and when its my turn she'll probably automatically start measureing me.
But here's a chance to drop by the TECA tent at Stone Mountain and introduce yourself to this gracious quiet kiltmaker while she's not caught up in her work.

Just heard back from Kathy after she got her site holder's error on her website squared away (that's gotta be scary, to lose your website with no idea due to someone else).
She is really looking forward to meeting folks at Stone Mountain. Guess its a real treat not to be caught up in the fervor of work at a games.

Ron,
Do you know if she's been having problems with email too?

Guessing if the website if fixed the email is okay too. She just emailed me this morning, so figure its fixed. Kathy isn't a computer junkie. Normal is to send her an email today and get a reply a few days or a week or more later.
She's usually busy sewing up kilts. Best way to get ahold of her is to call. She prefers that...
She's one of them quiet kilt crafters, but well worth the effort to connect.

She has done three for me. I asked because my emails have gone unanswered lately. Perhaps a phone call is in order since I haven't had that pleasure yet. Thanks Ron.

Thanks for the heads-up, Ron. We'll be off to see her for sure.

Hey Aggie,
We got the same addiction! Somehow I wound up with eight of Kathy's kilts...I think only my plastic melting down and smoldering has curtailed the fever.
