We've read all of her books and have them setting on the shelf now.

Let's see, if we liquidate some stock, fly from here to Clinton Iowa, then to there, then to Parsons Kansas, up to Des Moines and then home.

Darn...guess we'll miss Diana. We'll actually be on vacation but just won't be able to get up there.

I personally thanked Miss Gabaldon for writing such wonderful books for my wife to get some great ideas.

Lads, you know that sponsor Celtic Croft can fix you up with belted plaids in Fraser and MacKenzie, in their "homespun" poly-wool.

    Be prepared!

I will be giving self-defense classes before the event.
You'll have to fight the women off with a stick. Sadly, you left your stick at home.....

So... it's only the women having fantasies?

    I read one of the series and liked what I read. But then, that's a bit far for a book signing... {sigh}

    Shameless bump.

The Diana Gabaldon signing is this Tuesday evening.

I still have free tickets for anyone wishing to experience the fantasies of women about kilts.

The Book signing went very well. Ms. Gabaldon is not only a good writer but she is also a good speaker.

Before the event started I was standing outside trying to scalp our excess tickets and was repeatedly asked if I was "Jamie". This is the main male (Kiltwearing) character of her books, and my reply of "No, I'm not Jamie, and it's a good thing because I'd never get out of here alive" brought smiles and nods of agreement.

In her opening remarks Ms. Gabaldon recounted that during a press interview she was asked the question "So, why are your books about men in kilts so popular?" She was tired and the first words to pop out of her mouth were "Because when in a room with a man in a kilt a woman feels like at any moment she may end up against the wall." This comment brought thunderous applause.

I probably had my picture taken by 20 cell phones and was asked to pose with women about 10 times.

Here I am with Diana Gabaldon after the event. I made sure to thank her for sending me so much business.

Great picture, you look quite the dashing gentleman, even though you may not have the Panache of Jamie.

Panache? We don't need no stinking Panache.
I have a beautiful woman on my arm. I have a kilt. Any Panache would be wasted.

Yes perhaps any more class would be to much for the room, you do look great.
