For those who may be coming to Canada, try not to get arrested.

Double-check this with a lawyer but if the cop tells you to stay put, or do anything that is not obviously illegal, do it. They have an interesting twist that they can now arrest you for that, and not necessarily the original issue.

The also have three days to tell you what you have been arrested for (remember Olsen, the police changed the charge every two days so they could keep him, huge abuse of civil rights but...?)

Don't want people to get the wrong idea of Canada, obviously there is some confusion on that up here. That's because we're all law abiding and don't need to know.

Unfortunately, that sort of confirms my impression of the US, at least Texas. I think they can smell that at the border, that's why I get such a hard time.
