So far, email won't work, nor will it print over a network. I'm having trouble getting Outlook over to Entourage. When I do that I'll need to synch with a Treo.
as you see, my needs are complex.

I think they are great computers and I am determined to make it work, then maybe buy a notebook.
It is all a lot to learn, but it's fun
Here's a couple of quick hints.

ehmac.ca is probably the best source for tech info. Probably the main reason I've never needed tech support.

Instead of Mac Help, under the help menu, which has its own limitations, use Sherlock and go to Applecare. That is direct to Apple's database and usually the better source for info. The layout is strange, single click and the link shows up at the bottom. Double click and it goes to a webpage and you loose track of where you are. So, single-click.

Mail is a good application and it will print over a network. I use both. Not that I'm more blessed than you, I just want you to know that, at the end, it works. If I can help, let me know.

You may be set up to work on the network. Hold your cursor down over the printer choice, a note will come up indicating its location. If it looks like web numbers, that's the one. If not, it might be one of the choices. If not that, you're right, it's not set up right.
