    Just talked about this on the thread below, If I would have known.

    I own 11 casuals and six semi-trads with one more semi-trad on order. I've chosen to switch to semi-trads. But I'm not you. Pics in my gallery may help compare the two.

    My main reason for liking the semi-trad was not having to wear a belt.

    I would go for the semi-traditional. I have the USA Kilts Loud Mcleod in a semi-traditional and it's rapidly become a favorite. The lesser weight is compensated for my having a lot of pleats. One thing to note on the PV Mcleod of Lewis tartan that USA Kilts uses is that it is not the exact loud Mcleod tartan. Instead of three black stripes of the same width, the center stripe is wider. So this would be a bit of a variant. However nobody has doubted that it is Loud Mcleod.

    Rocky and Kelly do good work, a MacNaughton semi-traditional kilt is high on my list.
