Piper on "Weeds"

Last night on Weeds, they were having a funeral for a DEA agent and had a couple of quick shots of the piper and a minute or so of really nice piping.

And they have Mary-Louise Parker which doesn't hurt either

Between innings in the Padres-Rockies tiebreaker last night, I caught the beginning of a rerun of The Closer, which was set at a former LAPD officer's funeral. They showed just a snippet of a piper outside the church sharing a smoke with the hearse driver. Anyway, the piper had a fantastic tartan. It looked like it might actually have been the LAPD Pipe Band's real tartan. Had the big, darkish squares the California tartan creates, but with smaller alternating squares, and when I looked up "Los" in the Tartan Ferret, the LAPD Pipe Band tartan looked about right. Impressive bit of production detail for a TV show!
