I stand corrected, Nervous Jock. They remain a figment of everyone's imagination, to my mind. I'd like to see them in person before I'll believe something so grand as the Tartan Army exists. :-)

I was shocked to hear two of Nutini's song's on commercials this weekend. "These Streets" and "New Shoes" were both on separate commercials for separate companies on Sunday.

"New Shoes" is in a Hilton Ad. Hilton posted the video of the commercial, an interview with Nutini and other stuff here: http://www.hiltonjourneys.com/index.html?id=50#video-50

While not necessarily indicative of talent, it is an impressive sign of commercial success (no pun intended), especially for a debut album. I'm stunned that he got Hilton. They aren't exactly known for avant garde or alternative music in their commercials.

I think "These Streets" was for a bank or something.
