Are there any Loreena McKennitt fans here? She's in the midst of a Canadian and US tour right now. I'm going to see her on the 18th in Trenton, NJ, kilted up for the occasion, naturally. Is anyone else going to see her on this latest round of hers?

I'm a fan but don't think she's stopping close enough for me to see. I'll just have to play more CDs. Is she promoting a new one on this tour?

I saw her on her last tour earlier this year. I think the one she's doing now is the same thing. The DVD "Nights from the Alhambra" is pretty much the concert you will get, and you'll love it! It's a combination of her latest CD, "An Ancient Muse" with songs from her other CD's blended in. She got great reviews of her concert here. I went kilted too!

She is in Colorado Springs tomorrow evening. AND we have tickets

And, yes, I plan on wearing my kilt and Argyle jacket.

The tickets were an early birthday present my wife and I decided on.

Good timing on this thread. I just received my tickets in the mail yesterday. I'm going to catch her Oct. 24th concert in Harrisburg, PA.

It is announced before the start that photography is not allowed, but that was ok. Unless you are in the first few rows you are too far away to get good pics anyway.

Well, I ended up not wearing my kilt

since we had been out car shipping for way too long yesterday AND my dear wife was just not up to the attention that would have brought. We had dinner reservations before the show at Mackenzie's Chop House. Both had a wee nip, Glenlivet for her and Laphroig for me. Yes, she has the taste for single malt too. Sure does get rough on the bar bill. We then walked over for the concert. We had never heard any of her work before and both enjoyed it very much. Very interesting they way she combines so many different instruments for a very unique sound. For those that have not heard her, if you get the chance do go. You will like the sound and show.
