Nick - given the numbers of members on this forum who regularly travel across the pond, consider an appeal for someone to hand carry your kilt? Then it would only need to be shipped within the USA.

We're not talking about KILT SMUGGLING here, are we?

Why that would destroy the economic system of the entire world!

Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling.
Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave.

Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria.

Actually I think we are region 1. However, you can buy machines that will play other regions, I used to have one.

Now you can remove the region code with a computer*.

*Of course I never said that since it would be illegal

This must be a misquote from FedEx. I recently sent a DVD from Canada to the UK via FedEx, and it cost around C$45-ish for 'International Priority', their fastest service. Arrived in 2 days (from the UK is usually next day with this service).

I concur with all the comments about FedEx and customs duty. If there is half a chance they can collect duty, they will, and add a hefty administration fee. I was sending a personal DVD (of family videos), and so it was marked as 'no commercial value' and so avoided FedEx import charges.

USPS priority mail is probably a better bet. If you do select USPS service, remember that it will be Royal Mail who will deliver it, and will be affected by ongoing Royal Mail strikes.

I've shipped sporrans to the UK international priority mail for about $14. It took about 7-8 days. Go with the mail.

Thanks all. I'll tell her to check out Global Priority. The mail strikes are what concern me with the post, but delayed is better than not delivered.

    Cheers,
