It's a very nice looking kilt suit, but (dare I say it) the bottom of the waistcoat looks cut too high, and there's no sporran cut-out to the jacket.

Perfect timing to match your suit with your garden! You couldn't have planned it any better. I like it. It's not what I expected from the title. My experience with tweed has always been the flecked variety.

Many thanks everyone for your kind comments. I am so very thrilled with this, my fifth, kilt suit and I have to say that it received a fair few verbal compliments when I wore it publicly for the first time, at Petworth House yesterday - although I wore it without the waistcoat as the weather was so unseasonally mild. I am on the receiving-end of verbal comments so seldom thesedays so those, together with your written ones, have given me a tremendous boost.

Note to Wompet: I appreciate your comments about the waistcoat length and the lack of a deliberate sporran cut-away on the jacket - but that is the way I wanted it on this suit. Actually, I do not intend wearing a sporran very often with it as there are so many useful pockets in the jacket and waistcoat!

Note to David: yes, me dearie-oh, I "uderstand" perfectly. Nice bit of word-play there!

Note to Jock: The Storrington Estate tweed? What a splendid idea, but alas I cannot claim its exclusivity. It is one of a range of country tweeds from Brook Tavener.

Note to O'Neille: Tweeds come in many different 'designs' or styles. You might be more familiar with the Harris Tweed one. Mine is rather lighter in weight than many.
