    Ugh, I can't even IMAGINE a pair of trousers made from a military wool blanket. I am curious as to the progress of the kilt though.

    Heh, if I did trousers they'd be lined Surplus doesn't stock my size.

    But I imagine a kilt made out of this material would be nice and toasty- which with the winters here would be quite wearable, I imagine.

    Even with the well washed beaten smooth blankets I have they would have to be worn on the outside of something more skin friendly - the options were kilt or coat.

    Just at the moment I have too much going on to be sewing, but hopefully things will settle down in a while.

    I too am curious.

    We use about 200 of these blankets per season. Perhaps I'll save some scraps for tinkering. I may have to pull out our old seam sealing press to get good pleats. Har.
