Let's just say that the stick-on label on the box it came in does not say imitation seal. I'm going to go with (C), should the situation ever arise.
Regards,
Rex.

Just please don't hold it against us.
Yes, please don't hold that horrible woman against us! She's just evil and nasty and mean.
Sorry you had to have such a bad experience here, and I wish you'd been able to get ahold of us too - and, I don't wear my dress sporran that often. No reason I couldn't have put it out on loan.
Roan - come on over any time you like! We'll make sure you have a good time and the dragon lady's shop is just behind our home pub...

j/k
Bring some fat old kilties and a whoopie cushion with you. The enthusiasm of your youth would be well complemented by the treachery of maturity when engaging foes of this sort.
But your basic premise is sound

no worries Rex. I was in the store on Tuesday and the owner remembered you and said it was a cowhide sporran. Well, that's what he said all right.

I sense opportunity here. We could get a huge team together and have some hidden cameras, and just drive the old nuts with wave after wave of obnoxious non-customers, each more irritating than the last until we reach a point of pure absurdity.

Well, the sporran is in the US now. the law concerns importation as I understand it, which you didn't do. In fact, you bought it in the US. I hope you kept the receipt for the sporran to prove that fact.
I wouldn't advertise the fact that it's seal beyond this forum.
Anyway, thank you. I was looking into bringing my heirloom seal sporran to the states, but it will have to remain in the UK. Too many hassles here!

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
