Cheers guys. Your comments are much appreciated. I have a plain brown leather sporran, however I am still looking for a belt to go with it. Once I get one its all systems go!!!

The boots still look a bit dressy to me...Going with a darker hose will certainly detract from the appearance and you might want to consider a black sport shoe like Oakleys or Hi-techs...Cool rugby shirt - great ensamble.

    Cheers,

Well not to be the odd man out but I don't like them with the kilt. The boots are specifically designed for pants which would cover the elastic bits on the side. Also this style of boot is meant to give a dressy look with trousers so they don't fir the idea of a kilt worn casually with the hose scrunched (somewhat in the same way you don't plan to wear your dress sporran casually). So to me they look a bit off, but that's just my tuppence.

Whether you wear these boots or other black boots if it is for day wear you should use a black day-sporran and belt.

A plain brown sporran is a great start, however I would advise against wearing your black boots with your brown sporran, mixing the colours of your accessories is not the best idea.

I would also say that for a black everyday sporran I would suggest a Freelander, I own a black one that I wear most everyday.

Exactly what I was thinking...George boots, chukka boots, etc. Much better with trews, but that's just my opinion...

I think the boots look good. As mentioned previously, I would advise against mixing colors (brown sporran+black boots). Otherwise, I think you are on the right track.

If I may I have to agree with chef I think those boots would look better with trousers, more of a hiking boot I think to go with the kilt. Just my opinion I like the rest of the outfit but don't think you should mix brown and black.
