Yeah, the original plan was to try it out as a kilt pin on my Navy tartan kilt. But, as I said, it turned out to be too large for that, so now I'm thinking maybe a Navy tartan fly plaid. But fly plaids are mostly worn with formal wear, and I'm not sure a mermaid would be entirely appropriate in that setting, so....

I watched it, but I didn't bid.

E-bay both my worst enemy and best friend. Best deal I ever got was a brand new resistol 5x cowboy hat for $37.00. Keep looking at kilts and such, but need to wait until after Christmas.

I have a buddy who's usually very successful on ebay.
His advice: just think about how much you're willing to pay for something and bid that right up front and that's it. Don't obsess and get all excited and run up the bid. There'll be another one or a reasonable alternative coming along eventually.

Hey, nice, Moosedog. I, too, enjoy looking on ebay for the rare find. I've been lucky and have about 15 kilts from ebay. Some real nice, some average and all very wearable. I take it that is a kilt pin. I really like it, lucky find. Something different than the usual claymore kilt pin. I'm new to this site. I've been wearing kilts for 3 years now, every day, exclusively. I'm the only person in this part of Florida that does. I've had no troubles from anyone, mostly positive coments, I love em. I'm spoiled now. I think the jeans are history.

Oh, hell...I got up extra early this morning (see the threads about the new dog in the house) and got on the computer when things settled down.
And found an Argyle Jacket...in Navy...maybe my size if the theory of "they fit snug...buy one size up". Buy it now? Oh, hell, why not...
So, as I've said in the past, I want the equivalent of the basic Navy Wool Blazer only a kilt jacket. Looks like I may have scored.

eBay can be your friend, if you know what you're looking for, and don't give in to impulse buying. You've been looking for that blazer, and now you have it.
I ended up buying another kilt pin this morning, after I got paid. Moosedog pointed it out to me, and, well, it looked nice, and... um... okay, it was an impulse buy.
