    Talking Incident at choir

Well, yesterday, I got the question (a surprisingly rare thing, actually) from one of the tenors. It went thus:

"So… do you wear anything under that?"
    "Socks and shoes."
"… Do you wear any underwear?"
"I won't tell, and I'll become violent if you try to find out"
    "…"

We had a good laugh, and went on to rehearsal.

Today, as I walked into the campus chapel (where we rehearse), one of the basses was laying on his back on the floor, along with one of the more attractive altos, engaged in… conversation (get your mind out of the gutter!).

I was about four feet from them as I walked in, and, slightly startled by my surprise, they looked up. After a brief moment of silence, I simply said, "No peeking."

After we recovered from the laughter, the young man, slightly red-faced, got up, and I, being the gentleman I am, assisted the lady to her feet, as rehearsal was soon to commence.

And that is what happened today at choir

so now they know. ive been groped by many a member of the distaff sex while wearing my kilt at my part time job as a bouncer at a rock club, and left many more wondering...and the guys all get the same comeback when they ask whats under my kilt...and its an insult. After all, I AM 6 foot 8 and 350, so who is going to argue? All in all, the positive feedback outweighs the negative!

It wasn't negative, really. We're all a big, happy family

The first incident was merely a typical day out kilting, the second was merely my use of my razor sharp wit to turn an otherwise unremarkable situation into an opportunity for laughter.

Very well thought out and executed in a manner as not to offend or cause bad feelings some times a rapier wit is better than a rapier.

That's the kind of fun you like to see. Nobody gets hurt, and everybody shares a laugh.

I still can't figure out why no onw walks up to a woman & asks or tries to lift & peek, but men & women both will ask &/or lift & peek when it comes to a man

Truly one of life's mysteries. I also have trouble understanding why anyone would ponder the state or lack of undergarments on a fat 46 year old bald guy. I had and still have better things to do with my imagination. Strange creatures these mortals.

One of the reasons I prefer non-trad kilts to traditional tartan kilts, is that in a non-trad kilt I am much less often asked the question.
