I think it's safe to say that the Mudmen/SOKS Kilt Night was a success! The night started off with Hendry, Neil and I having a little German beer at the Black Forest Inn. We were soon joined by McMurdo and his band of merry makers. At some point, all the guilty parties in the above pics made their entrance. We hit a few places last night... Absinthe, Slainte, Peeler Bar From Hell (not sure what the current name is) and Pizza Pizza.

The band was kick ***! Sandy, Troy and the rest of the boys from The Mudmen put on a great show. I think they are much more suited to larger forums, but the intimate nature of the show worked just fine. It was great to meet some new faces (Kilted Biker) and to have my buddy Neil wearing a kilt out for his first time. (I spoke with him today, and he is ready to buy one of his own. We have another convert!) As always, hanging with the SOKS crew is a blast. The Moriarty to my Sherlock (ccga3359) helped to make the night memorable... 'nuff said?

I made it home by 3:30 am, just in time to rest up for my 5:30 am departure for work. Looking forward to the next event!

Ah yes, I hauled my sorry butt into bed at about that time and falling back out a scant 7 hours later.

Do you think that we're pathetic or kilt obsessed? There we had a formerly mini-kilt clad girl on stage and we are staring at her kilt crumpled in the corner trying to figure out the tartan! Oh, it was a fashion tartan btw.

Now that it's fall, I walk through the stores, staring at all the plaids/tartans, trying to figure out what they are, but I would have been looking at the girl! Men these days. Ha!

    Be well,
