    Are these pins heavy enough to perform the function? They look light weight, and I always pick my kilt pins for a little weight?

    Yep, they are a standard kilt pin. Mine weighs just under a half an ounce.

    Looks great. But the real question is if you are an angler in a pinch and the fish are biting, can you use them with your fly rod and reel?
