That's too bad. But good for you for trying to push the boundaries. Maybe we should have a Highland Festival in Guadalajara and educate the community about kilts.

Thanks Todd,
Knew you'd know. Its a stretch, but one would hope that the Mexicans would cut a bit of slack for Celtic types...Particularly at a university that I assume offers history courses.

Well, of course Mexico has hardly an Oxford or Cambridge reputation. They hold their Aztec heritage in contempt and tout how much Spanish blood they have as opposed to the peasant 'Los Indios'. So heritage is a risky business with them.
Maybe you could wear a loin cloth & some Quetzal feathers?
Or a tartan Sarape' ?
Hey! At least you gave it a shot. Am proud of you!

On that note, I wonder what would happen if you wore the large culottes which are the native dress to eastern Spain. They look like a skirt, similar to what Greek soldiers wear. Then, at least, you would have a claim to "la Madre Patria."

I'm sorry you can't wear a kilt to school. I am proud of you for trying. Don't let this keep you from getting your schooling. An education is impoprtant even if you have to endure it in pants.
Good luck.

Wow! I've seen students over here dressed in pajamas!
You have a great attitude about the whole thing, though!

Get some devil horns, or a Lucha mask, and tell them you're the new 4th member of the Hell Brothers. They wear more of a skirt to the ring than a kilt ever thought about being.
