My New CCK MacPherson Red
There are some people who go above and beyond anything expected. Pete (McHummel) from Canadian Casual Kilts is one of those people. A little while ago I was talking with Peter about making up a MacPherson Modern Kilt for me, but I said it could wait. I wanted it in case the worst happened with my Uncle Murdy, as his clan was MacPherson. Well on Thursday the 11th of October my Uncle passed away, I was talking to Pete about it on the 14th I think. Well Pete asked me if I wanted the kilt for the memorial, I told him it was today, and he let me know that my kilt would be ready on Monday. I went to pick it up yesterday, I tried it on and it fits wonderfully. My Aunt was very happy to see me in the MacPherson Modern as a tribute to her Husband my Uncle, and everyone else was glad to see it as well.
I really think that Peter has outdone himself with this one it is just beautiful, thanks again Pete for the rush and the attention to detail, this is one fine kilt. To say I happy with it would be an understatement, it is just excellent, thanks again Pete.
Now to the photos:

The Back
The Side Pleat Shot

Wonderful kilt Glen, 7 yards? A nod to Pete also for burning the midnight oil to get this kilt done on time.

Wow Glen you look amazing in that kilt! I was more than happy to get it done for you in honour of your uncle. That's the thing I love about kilt making... when you make something for someone that is truly meaningful it really shows in their expression on their face.

Great looking kilt, I like the pleating to the stripe.
Cheers

I hate to tell you it is not pleated to the stripe, Pete was thinking about pleating to the yellow stripe but thought better of it, and he came up with this. I really like the way the pleats turned out.

Perhaps I should have said "pleated to no stripe", as horizontal stripes don't really count.
Cheers

Very nice, but I thought it would be considered pleated to stripe as well, be it horizontal or vertical. Its certainly not pleated to sett.
Best regards,
Jake
