In the UK there has been a series on telly called "who do you think you are" in which celebrities delve into their family history and its absolutly fantastic, John Hurt has featured in it, and so has Dr. Who start David Tennant (a scot who found out he is for the most part Irish!!)

at the end of the show, the guest has a vastly different view of themselves, Barbara Windsor (the bubbly blonde in the carry on films) found out she was related to the painter John Constable. comic Alistair McGowan always believed he had Scots roots found out he was mostly Irish and had an ancestor that was from India. TV antiques expert David Dickenson is of Albanian descent.

once the people realised they are all the sum of parts and that what previously were "different" cultures they now realised that they are part of, and a product of that "different" culture.

    Outstanding!

    Very well said.

Please take your show on the road - we're working on them down here, but we're outnumbered

Way to go, hopefully some of the attendees will be more openly supportive.
