It's clear the guy has put a lot of thought into what he's wearing. He's neat and presentable and proud of it. I think he's pretty well put together for a guy in pink. If he owns a pink sporran, it's likely that he owns a dozen other more conventional sporrans and can afford to be a little over-the-top on occasion. It's his choice - and he's got the cojones for it.
Bully for him!

Rex.
Indeed! It takes guts to wear an outfit like that, and I applaud him for it .

Not to belabor the point that kilted halloween costumes are hideous. I grant that it is difficult to make an affordable costume and include a decent kilt. But look at this guys ankle/calf coverings. They can't be called socks, can they?
Not to mention the world's smallest sporran, pleats, etc...
The swatch (which is Black Stewart - not what is shown on the model!) looks as if it were hacked off the bolt with a dull claymore!

Oh god I just finally finished this thread. Now I can't think what to do with my life. I guess I'll go put on a kilt. Maybe go outside. Maybe eat lunch. Who am I kidding I am going to write my French paper and do my math homework like a good student.
Thanks for the ride,
Matt!

DO:
Put on a kilt, and…
- Go outside. (Absent blizzard, outside is always good.)
- Eat lunch. (DON’T spill any food on the kilt!)
- Write a French paper. (Maybe on the Scots who served France?)
- Do math homework. (This will help: “One kilt two kilt three kilt four / Five kilt six kilt seven kilt / More!”)
- Be a good student. (The bonnie lass will love the kilt, but she’ll want a lad who can earn a living too.)

That outfit needs slippers with a curled up point and tassel.
And a nice spot to stand next to Santa in the department store.

I'm not sure who is the source of this observation which I recall from many years ago. It may even have been Emily Post who observed that only someone who thoroughly understands the reasons for a convention can violate it with impunity. I suspect that this gentlemen does not even feel constrained to serve only red wines with red meats.
