stressed out, a little help please

Hello, for those of you that dont know ive been in the process of changing schools, and ill be having some free time ( a lot from november to january the 14), so im thinking of getting a job, so i can put my mind to other things, but lately ive been kind of home sick, right now im living in a big city (the third biggest city in mexico), but im from a small town, so im also thinking that i should go back and have a long break back home, and get my a part time job or something like that, also it would give me time to make an x-kilt (or two), so what do you guys think?

Finish school. I've spent nearly five years finishing my two year degree... Trust me, taking a break is a bad idea. It's very difficult to get going again and stay focused. Finish now before you get loaded down with distractions and your priorities change.

thank you all im definitely finishing school but since im starting my new school on january two months of down time and since im kind of active i would like to do something with all that free time

I'd try and get a job in the same city as I would be going to school. The more you are in the city the more it will become your home (away from home). If you go back home, you may get side-tracked and start doing those things you did before you went away to school and might never get around to making your kilt or getting a part time job. You can always go back home for a short visit before school starts but I'd stay where you are at and find work while waiting for school to start. I hope that helped.

since your in a big city, try to find something local to do. Getting a job would be good idea. Will they hire you for a short period of time. If you can afford not working, look for a volunteer position somewhere ( ie community center, clinic, hospital, museum, art gallery.. etc..). It will expose you to the flow of the community your now living in. It will help you become accustomed to life in the city.

Definitely stay in the city where you'll be going to school. Despite your plans to start school in January, a trip back will drastically reduce the likelihood that you really will.

Set your goal and make everything you do (including a job or volunteer work) be about accomplishing that goal.

Yes, I also counsel you to stay where you will be attending classes. You can still work on x-kilts there, and it will make it so much easier to feel comfortable come January. Get into some activities there, then when classes start you'll have friends to support you.

I came home for a few months and didn't go back, just like many have said.

It sounds like you want to go home...at least for a visit. Maybe give yourself a nice long weekend home with the family and friends...3-4 days or so. Then come back to your city. There's probably a lot of city to explore in terms of history and culture and activity. Get the job, if you want it or need it, but explore the city and make it an adventure every day.
