Austin Celtic Festival 2007: Day One

Hey Rabble, hope everyone is well and I wanted to send out some day one photos of the Austin Celtic Festival. I hope you enjoy them!



Here are a couple of Romans to keep the festival goers form running amuck.
Actually they were performing various demonstrations and letting the common folk get hands on with activities such as the javelin toss. They had some really beautiful armor. They are with the group Legion Ten and you can find them at www.legionten.org. As were the Roman Legions, they are always looking for "volunteers."

We met Marc and his group. I have to start writing the names of the tartans down. Just fantastic.

This is Walt. A very friendly gent and he is sporting the Cork County tartan.

Hey, I saw you and your girlfriend (?) there yesterday. I remember my girlfriend commenting that she liked your outfit. We noticed a girl taking pictures or video of us, but didn't ask what it was for. She seemed to be trying to go unnoticed.

Anyway, I wish I had checked here before the festival. Maybe I would have been able to meet a few of you. Always nice to know there are others out there that where the kilt with pride.
