I think his price is kind of high, and the pictures do not show enough detail to warrant spending what he wants.

The description states that the kilt is machine washable but that other kilts, made of wool and at a higher price, are also available. The seller is located in Ciudad Juarez, right across the river from me. He doesn't list an address, otherwise I'd pay him a visit and check out his wares firsthand.

McMurdo - That price is in pesos. That's about $80.00 US. Which seems like a pretty good price!
McJore - I think it would be worth writing him a letter. To see what he says.

No hablo espanol, and the photo isn't too detailed, but from what I could make out in the Babelfish translation ("sporran"="stock market?") it looks as if the cost is about the same as a 5 yard acrylic kilt would be if made in Pakistan and sold in Scotland. Is it polyviscose or acrylic? What is the pleating like? How many yards of material? Judging from the straps being as close as they are to the top edge of the kilt, I would guess it is a 5 yard casual.

Well, Ok, here is the exact photo, I think. Same folks, only this is their budget model at $38.00 U.S.

I like what he says on the webpage
"Un hombre en Kilt es hombre y medio"
"Un verdadero hombre usa kilt"
(for those who don't read Spanish: A man in a Kilt is a man and a half; and A real man wears a kilt.)
