Greetings from San Angelo, Texas
Hello all,
I am primarily a stay-at-home dad but I also work part time at the local university. I don't currently have a kilt, but would like to treat myself to one for my birthday in February. I'll be posting a question about this in one of the other forums shortly.

Welcome Kent. I'm in your neck of the woods (Sonora) from time to time for work. When I saw your name I immediately remembered USA Kilts offers two Fraser tartans in a synthetic cloth. If you're wanting something that costs less than worsted wool, they're the way to go. Of course, if you're wanting to go the wool route, that's the way to do it up right! Ask around, we can get you pointed in the right direction.
