Help me spend 250 USD

Interesting, everyone has jumped to tartans. If you're just going for casual wear, have you considered any not traditional kilts (Utilikilt, RKilt, Union kilts, etc.) While I love my tartans (and end up wearing then 1-2 times a week), I live in non traditionals. For $250 you could still get an original UK, and a Stillwater standard + the night stalker sporran, and be set for what ever life throws at you.

For not much more, Freedom Kilts can give you a super non-tartan unit...with pockets too.

Thanks for everyone's advise. I think I'm going to wait and get a USAK Semi-traditional in the Fraser Hunting.

That sounds like a great idea Kent, the USA Kilts Semi-Trad. is a very nice kilt for the money, you will not be disappointed, at least that way you will have a kilt in your family tartan that you can wear casually and dress it up nicely as well.
