US Army Tartan Being Made Official

Indeed they do! Though it's not "official" as far as I know. But, don't tell the Jarheads that!

The "Leatherneck tartan"

There are many here on XMTS proudly wearing this in honor of their (or their friends family's) USMC service.

Making the Army tartan official would be great. I'll use that as an argument for getting a kilt in that tartan. If they'd include it in AR 670-1 and make it acceptable for wear at formal events would be even better. It would look good with a Mess Dress Jacket.
