2008 Dates for Kiltmaking seminars
I'm not sure this is the correct site to post this question. Where can I find dates or schedules for Elsi's or other's kilt making seminars for the upcoming year 2008 here in the USA?
Thanks for any help,
Aye - cayuse

Send me a PM, and I'll send you Elsie's email address. She's getting on, and I don't know how many more workshops she's going to continue to do, but you can email her and find out.
Steve and Matt and I have talked on and off about doing one in Franklin, NC, but I can't remember if we said anything to each other about some time in 2008 or not.

We mentioned it but did not set a date. I think we were in conflict with the Storrington Gathering. (and Iceland)

It is probably a little early to tie down such information, although that makes it somewhat inconvenient for those who need to schedule vacation time way in advance.
This first post will link you into Wompet's post about the 2007 New York Kilt Kamp, with some discussion of personnel changes taking place.

The post below has the schedule of 2007 Kilt Kamps, along with contact info for the sponsoring information. It's the sponsors, not the instructors, who determine the arrangements (times, places, costs) for any kamps. You could try contacting the sponsor nearest you and ask to be put on an interested party list as they prepare for 2008.

Good luck to you - and be sure to post anything you find out about any future kilt kamp.

The thought was that we would alternate. One on the West Coast, probably at my shop or maybe Panache's living room. Then on alternate years somewhere on the East Coast. Matt's place, or Hank's back yard.
In June 2008 Hamish is sponsoring the Storrington Gathering and I know at the time quite a few of our rabble were planning on making the trip over. So I think we should get with Matt and see if we can set up something for 2009.

Way2Fractious' links aren't working for me, so here's my thread about the 2007 Troy Kilt Kamp. I haven't gotten the dates for the 2008 kamp yet.
Elsie did her last kilt-making tour this year. Cherie (whose last name I forget, but can find) will be taking over on the West Coast, and Judy Sullivan will be taking over on the East.
