Whisky like any other drink all depends on what suits ones palate, some can't handle the real peaty malts while others don't care for the Speysides. It all depends on the drinker.

1 oz of whisky to 4 oz of Coca-Cola

Being from Atlanta I would humbly submit that you NEVER mix Coca Cola with Sipping Whisky of any kind...an abysmal abomination for both. Whether the finest Whiskey for sipping...Jack Daniels 80 or Scoth Whisky...LAPHROAIG. NEVER EVER add Coca Cola .........PLEASE!!!!!!
Just the simplest, tiniest spot of spring water will do well for both
