    ChattanCat, 4 is a good number of kilts.

    This was my first attempt at a knife pleated...the others were box pleated. But it's amazing how much it helps to read the book and then see in person how an actual kilt is made. But I've worked with solid colours as I feel I'd find it easier to work with than tartan...

    Now, I have a site that I can post pictures on...but with this old computer of mine...it's very tempermental...and doesn't recognise the picture software anymore for some reason or another. Until I figure it out, I'll let your mind paint the picture.
