Warning - Husbands don't read!
Warning - Husbands don't read this! My Christmas tree and all the decorations are up! Lights, inside and out. Fancy stuff that we keep in the attic, that only comes out for Christmas....... I'm done!

That's ok, I think I've got you beat! Since we're moving in January, all our stuff is already packed away in boxes in the storage locker. No decorations at all this year. A little sad, but it's the only way we can keep our sanity right now.
So, I'll see your "Nyaa Nyaa Nyaa" and raise you a "neener neener neener".

But, but....... That's cheating! None at all? Not even a little Nativity scene? No stockings hung by the fireplace? No candles in the window.......nothing?

I purposefully left mine on all year. The evergreen's lights were on every night. Even the prancing reindeer got to boogie sometimes in the summer.
So, did I win?

Gee, in our family we have a enjoy putting up our decorations in stages in preparations for the Christmas Holiday. This week we will put up our Herald Angel light and wreaths outside. The next we will put up our Nutcracker collection, then our snow village on the mantle, and finally our tree. I don't mind those who do it all in one frantic afternoon, but I prefer doing it gradually. It is certainly a good excuse to listen to Frank Sinatra and Mel Tormes' Christmas albums while enjoying a Christmas Spider, Santa Baby, or simple Egg Nog.
Bully for you James, but I take it slow.

Cheers

Combine with crushed ice in a cocktail shaker and shake. Pour into a cocktail (martini glass) and garnish with a minature candy cane. Allow drink to sit for at least a minute for the candy to begin to disolve and cast a pink mist throughout the drink.
A Santa Baby is the same thing with the pepermint flavored schnapps replaced with cinammon.

I probably get the award for the most Christmas stuff. I have a big outdoor Light Show that I do every year. And every year is different. I spent, so far, 13 hours on computer programming, 35 hours of set up with 80 separate circuits of lights, 2 lasers, and thousands of lights. Now I am into the testing stage, but the computer didn't communicate with the units that make the lights work according to the music people hear on their vehicle radio. I will post a link and videos later on.

Pffffttt, you fellows have nothing on me. Yesterday afternoon, I lit an apple/cinnamon scented candle.
I'm still exhausted from the effort.
I may light it again on Christmas Eve, but I'm trying not to over-exert myself with all the festivities of decorating for the holiday. There's nothing quite like being an empty-nester.
