I put up the tree sometime around dec 20, then i go upstairs for a nap and when im done the tree is all done by my wife and son. Ever since i was a kid i hated triming the tree. Comes from a highly dysfunctional family.

Pffffttt, you fellows have nothing on me. Yesterday afternoon, I lit an apple/cinnamon scented candle.

I'm still exhausted from the effort.

I may light it again on Christmas Eve, but I'm trying not to over-exert myself with all the festivities of decorating for the holiday. There's nothing quite like being an empty-nester.

Our nest is empty but my better half is not satisfied until we have lights drapped across the roof, candles in the windows, themed bric-a-brac everywhere, at least one nativity scene and three (that's 3!) Christmas trees; the largest of which has a Christmas train running around it. All that and we're always out of the country on the 25th. It's a bit over the top.
