For those of us this side who might be able to read Greek but do not recognise what the words mean in this context can we have an explanation about what this organisation is? It sounded like a Fraternity but that wouldn't have female officers surely? 
PTK is a honours society for two-year college students. There are similar honours societies for the major disciplines of study; for example, I am a member of Phi Alpha Theta, the honours society for historians. That is why membership is co-ed.
