At the festival that KiltedinUSMC and I went up to visit, while we were walking around looking at the vendors stuff, a gent comes up and says "Hi Mr Nicholson." I must have given him a rather blank look, because he came back with "That's my tartan too."

I didn't know what to say. I was wearing MacQueen. To my eye, they aren't even close.

So I just said, "Oh, small world." He grinned and walked away.

But this one caught me by surprize. Doesn't happen to me that often.

On another note, at one of the vendors booths, the gent selling says "Hi Mr. MacQueen." Now he knew his tartans. But then he was in the business. He was wearing, what I found out was Seaton (Seton?) Hunting, and a nice tartan it was. But I don't remember seeing it before.

The tartan of the day was Black Watch, several variants of it, and many types. Even one that was authentic, but only one that I saw.
