I have worn my BK canvas to work, but I always have a long apron on over my shirt and kilt. the clay will often have iron oxide or other things that would be a kilt killer. I might get something just for the ceramic work, but it sounds like the PV casual USAK might be the best for that. The other thing I am worried about at the ceramics lab is the PV around the kilns. I've heard of Rayon shirts becoming one with the skin when near the high temps.

My friend is a potter at the local Ren Faire and has two USA Kilts casuals that he rotates through each weekend. He just finished his second season with them and they still look great. The clay comes right out of the PV.
If they outlaw guns, can we go back to using swords?

That's great! Thanks for letting me know. For some reason, I'm starting to really like the wider pleats on the USAKs and the BKs. That would be for a non-formal look of course. I'll have to figure out why.

Tell ya what, its just as hot up here in the canyonlands as it is down in the valley. You'll find PV kilts comfy in the summer.

I put off getting any for a couple years...thought it was all hype and paid shills saying the good things about U.S.A. kilts...okay so I'm a skeptic.

Finally "broke down" and ordered one to see what all the fuss was about...well, two years later I own 18 U.S.A. kilts.

    Ya can't go wrong.

I've come to prefer the semi-trads, but if I was working with clay I'd wear a casual too.

Pics in my galleries if it helps you see the tartan in a kilt.
