So true!!! The area we live in was fairly sparse and had a lot of green areas when we moved in 3.5 years ago. Since that time 2 huge townhouse complexes, and 5 highrises have gone up in very close proximity, with a few more planned. None of it provided any economic benefit to the residents of the area (other than crowded roads and the loss of trees, trails, and natural beuaty) and little to none of the locals were employed*. These are residence, I could only imagine the frustration of a proposed golf course which would only benefit a very select few and in the long run likely provide very little for the nearby towns and villages.


*This is a suburb of Vancouver so local is pretty vast. I mean people that leave in our municipality.
