While my son is now Ronan, I held out for Declan for a long time. While it is common now Aiden spelled the proper way (Aodhan) is cool.

For a girl I wanted Sorcha or Myfanwy (Muh - vanh - wee).

When it comes to biblical names I always suggest Shadrach, but no one (including my wife) ever takes me up on it. Hey, you know he'd be the only at his school.

(Arrogcow, I was partial for Myfanwy as a girl's name too. Another brilliant idea vetoed by my wife.)

For boys I like Malcolm and Duncan, though.

    Best regards (and good luck)

My great great grandfather was named Shadrach. Both my brother and I tried that (nickname Shade) and were both resoundly vetoed.
