Seems like you and other half are having a bit of a battle ------ So BLAIR would be perfect.. For interest it is a battle field.
My boy is named Blair .... I wanted to call him Battlecat after the He Man's pet cat.
I got the Battle bit in and she did not know until he was officially named...

Well, I'm almost positive that Alan means handsome in some small part of the world, but my wife insisted that our son's name start with a K, so my choices were very limited...I chose Keenan (Little King) and the rest is history.
In order of Birth:
Krystle
Kyra
Keenan
Kaylie
Early congrats on your pending arrival and God Bless the little children

Now that would just be sucking up, unless of course David was the name chosen.

Again, that makes David a great choice.

The current trend to just mix a bunch of letters together is strange to me.
Also, the trend to use a fairly common name, but give it an unusual spelling. I know the parents think it's clever, but all it does is cause problems for the kids in school when everyone spells their name wrong by using the common spelling.

I had put Norman spelt "Tormod" in the mix

Michael--Man of God, I think--is a really good name, especially if you follow it with a strong, masculine name like Ebenezer (my great-grandfather's middle name), Everett (my father's name), or James (yours truly).
In the end, you'll do what your wife says, so it's best just to sit and listen to her. Especially if she's pregnant! If you have a favorite Celtic name (Hamish, Liam, Ian, Angus, etc.), they're all great, but you might want to work on Mom a little in advance to sell the deal.
My only real advice is to take very good care of Mom, tell her several times a day how great she looks, walk with her, and pamper her. Pregnant women always look good--and need to know it--and are a special gift: they're carrying your child.
God bless and good naming!

I am partial to my 2nd son's name:
Rogan - The boy's name Rogan \r(o)-gan\ is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "red-headed". He is a toe-head now but did have a slight red tint as a newborn.
Unique but not "over the top".
We didn't want our son to be one of multiple with the same name in school.
My first son is a Jr. - Stefan Jr.

I heard a whole list of worst names EVER from a friend of mine who's wife works for a children's aid organization. Please, whatever you do (I know you wouldn't, just making a point,) do NOT name your kid "Glock".

Here's a couple of bad ideas my wife like to joke about...
Zebulon Hazard Matthew (Nickname HazMatt)
Xaqre (pronounced "Zachary")
Twins would either be Mike & Ike or Ren & Stimpy
You could do what my parents did and "gaelicise" a name that is already in your family... We have several Johns in our family... so I'm Sean (Irish) and my brother is Evan (Welsh).
