Well, as far as I care, the wool watering hose is the only good kind. Those PV watering hoses just look aughful and forget the achrylic watering hose. An eight yard wool watering tank is the only way to go.

As long as it is a full 16oz wool watering tank. Otherwise it is just to light and won't swing right.

Yes, it must be at least a sixteen Oz watering tank, but a twenty-two Oz watering wool works best. Don't forget the day watering sporran and the evening watering sporran... Guess we're all wet.

It is snowing right and we are most likely going to get 1 or 2 feet of the stuff by Sun.
Break out the Snow Hose.
Or the long boards.

It is so strange to look back at this early thread of mine now that I know a lot of you better Some of you I almost know personally. It's like I know who I was talking to now.

I see, from my other gardening thread, that Chef still has a problem with people gardening in kilts. It's delightful to re-read String's posts... James... at least there wasn't any skinning brought up.

Moosedog, you've been talking with me about gardening all along. It feels like this thread is from years ago, and I've only been here a couple of months.

The answer to gardening hose turned out to be thick gray, acrylic, knee-high socks with a red band around the very top. I bought them at JC Penny, and they work fine.

Ya, that's kind of what I'm using, and they're knee high. I've also scrunched them down at times. That seems to be what works for me during these cooler months. I'll still go back to my sandals in the summer.

I don't know, I just don't dress in a formal way very often.

Those are good hoses. I really don't like the plastic ends on hoses; hate them for going on a brass hose bib. Nylon is fine, but my favorite is the rubber based, non-tangling/crimping type hose. They are very heavy, but it is so nice to not have to work out all the crimps every time you move it. Also, those kind tend to work a lot better with hose winders because you don't have to take all of the hose off the winder every time you use it. Other hoses expand so much that they cause problems if partly wounde.

If the hose isn't being moved around a lot, the black 1/2" PVC hose that is often used for main lines of drip systems seems to last for ever out in the direct sun. It is, however, very very crimp prone and the crimps stay crimped to a degree. The sun does a number on a lot of the other hoses out here.
