While my son is now Ronan, I held out for Declan for a long time. While it is common now Aiden spelled the proper way (Aodhan) is cool.
My great-grandfather was Aidan Judson ... a name I would like to reuse one of these days. And if Judson was dropped, it could be used for a son or daughter - same as Leslie (great-uncle) and Lynn (cousin; hope any daughter of mine wouldn't have a bread like his, though).

My one uncle and aunt named all of their children beginning with "S" which worked, but my one brother's ex-wife's family - her parents named all of the kids "R______", and then all of the pets were named "R____" - have to be a little careful not to go over the top with themed names.
Let me throw this into the mix, my grandson's name is Rodrick, a stout name derived from Robert, my name.

Children WILL live up to their names so choose well, give a child a proud name and they will bring it to life, give them a wimpy name and they will live up to that too. What I am saying is their name is the first gift you give your child in their life and it both lead and follow them untill it is graven in stone above where the rest. In this day too few people remember that when they find a "neat" name for a child.

All the names I have seen in 60 or so posts will serve any child well all their life
