    The name of a child

    Let me throw this into the mix, my grandson's name is Rodrick, a stout name derived from Robert, my name.

    <rant commences>

    Children WILL live up to their names so choose well, give a child a proud name and they will bring it to life, give them a wimpy name and they will live up to that too. What I am saying is their name is the first gift you give your child in their life and it both lead and follow them untill it is graven in stone above where the rest. In this day too few people remember that when they find a "neat" name for a child.

    <rant finished>

    All the names I have seen in 60 or so posts will serve any child well all their life

    Weasel
    Proud father of Sarah Elizibeth
    Prouder grandfather of Rodrick Edquan and Athena Elizibeth

    Always remember that today's trendy children names are tomorrow's elderly names. After all, how many young Mildreds and Ethels do you know?
