Seems to me you were on the same sequence as my wife. It was something you actually posted a long time ago.
Ah, so you get paid on Wednesdays, pretty soon I'll have your pin worked out.
Kidding, wouldn't dream of it.

Boy... that brings back memories. I would be interested in the blanket patern they used. I'm guessing you didn't get to see it. I've been thinking a lot about going back to those ties in my life for a tartan-ish patern on a belted plaid. Thanks for sharing Ron.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Great pictures! I haven't been out west in about 5 years. But the background scenery makes me think I'm due for another trip.
And I love the "clean up well" comments. They remind me of my mother: "You know Mark, you really clean-up well. No, no particular reason for saying that. But you really do. With a nice shirt, and a tie. Do you dress up like that for the girls? I hope so. What? You clean up well is all I'm saying."
The moral of the story is never trust anyone who says you clean up well. They'll just want to see you in a tie again. and then again.

I'll probably end up having to start a new thread on this, but there's a lot of history and a lot of weaving that could be drawn from in trying to find new directions for kilts and tartans out here in the Southwest. I just want to puke every time I see that Irish tartan thread, it goes on and on and on. Those rugs and blankets are much more a part of my life than the "traditional" tartans.
