    mmmmmm yummy

Since I already ordered mine (and Steve gave me a substatial discount off his original 52 billion dollar quote), now I'm seriously jonesing.
That's the one I'm gonna wear to the Bay Area Prototype Modelers meet next april in Fremont, watch all the model train guys flip their lids.
That tartan ranks up there with the Antrctic tartan in my book.

    CT - oh yeah

Uh oh. I detect a hijack.

You're a model railroader, I presume? I've been one for many years, myself.

    sidetracked

Yep, there's a few of us on here. Panache has a garden RR I think, others have made rumblings about such "wheel on rails" things.

Winnipeg eh ? I know a girl there and I ride VIA in and out of town (except that one time I flew in and out).

So what do you model and what scale ?

CT - I'll have to post a meet picture after all is said and done

Great Tartan with a great history
The HBC was a major player in the Western Fur trade
and did much to open up the West

I would proudly wear that Tartan

A reminder to those wishing to purchase some of the HBC Tartan fabric.

The Fabric was woven by Fraser & Kirkbright in their 16oz. Merino Wool.
It is double width or 60" wide. You will need approx. 4 yards for a Traditional Style Kilt and slightly more or less for a Contemporary Style.
Exactly how much fabric you will need will depend on your hip measurement.
    The Sett is 7"
The cost of the fabric is:
    $74.25cdn / meter
or at todays exchange rate $73.75usd / meter
    or $67.77usd / yard
I will also need your mailing address to calculate shipping costs or applicable taxes.
I can ship immediately upon payment but cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas.

Not to mention that Ogden, Utah, was named for a HBC employee.
