Speaking as someone who is just barely 5'10" and only has a size 12 foot, remind me not to get in a fight with you....
How about calves - 19" here.

I have never measured my calfs, but I know I can press 240lbs with them for 4 sets of 12 reps, though.
I have one or two pairs of regular hose that weren't the large they claimed (in length either). I also wondered how these are for width. I find the large hose from Gaelic themes pretty good. Are these comparable?

I have had good luck with sock dreams, and my biggest concerns are my calves. I will give WPG a try.

Well I gave Jerry a call and ordered a pair. They look like they should go well with my SWK weathered Lamont. I wear an 8 1/2 shoe and will let you folks know how it goes.
Cheers

I love my WPG hose too. I'm not sure about the measurements, but I'm using the large size garters from Matt Newsome's website. They fit my large calves nicely.

I have large regular hose and large pipers hose from Gaelic themes. The regular are too tight on my 16" calves, but the pipers are great. The WGP fit more like the pipers. I did have a problem on my first pair with a thread that broke and threatened to start an unraveling event in the top cuff. a quick application of embroidery floss around the circumference took care of that.
did i mention they appear to be machine washable and dryable?

Here's some pix of mine inside and out. It was twenty-five out when Indy and I headed out, so the hose are warm.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

OK - Three pair on order. They should look really nice with the weathered tartans, and brown assessories.
I still need a really good looking brown sporran belt..... Think I'll go to Tandy this afternoon. I've got spair buckles, rivets, hammer, and two thumbs to hit.
