I hadn't met ChromeScholar when I started that tartan almost 4 years ago..Lets just say with kids, 2 jobs and a divorce at the time I didn't get much accomplished. The tartan is being woven for my best friend in high school and his lovely wife and daughter. But can't wait to get a slightly larger loom going so I can do a full 24"-30" tartan going, even if it won't be wool. Then I can start on a family length of tartan. Now the real problem deciding which one to weave!!

What a fantastic photograph...It almost has a Norman Rockwell feeling about it with the Christmas tree in the background...I'm getting all warm and fuzzy over here...Thanks for sharing the picture, it was very uplifting.

    Merry Christmas

What a wonderful picture, and a wonderful skill, to be able to weave tartan.

My tam is off to you.

Congrats! Always good to hear of successful hand weaving going on.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

HAHA very funny. It's for his daughter so it's only 20" wide. I'll make sure he sends pics when they decide what to make..
