I have one. It looks great; I plan at some point to try it out with my scout uniform, since Boy Scouts are honorary members of Clan MacLaren.

    MacLaren from SWK

    Hey Pipesndrumsnun
I just got one from SWK yesterday. When I opened the box I had to sit down and say, WOW ! Super colors. A lot better in person than on the monitor. Why did I wait so long to order. More laetr when I take it out for a trial run later this week.

Great...congrats on the new kilt! Any photos yet?
Would you say the blue is a "navy blue" (i.e deep blue)?

I would have to say that the blue is a REAL DEEP blue. A very deep navy blue. The kilt still has some of the wrinkles from shipping. Kudos to Jerry at SWK later. I'm on Winter Break as of today and took the MacLaren for a test spin. Here are the first few pix plus the obligatory pleat shot.

It looks so good that I'm taking the new kilt to Chicago for Christmas and wear it Christmas Eve at my son's house.
    Happy Holidays to all.

Actually not all scouts, those adults who have gone through the Wood Badge Leadership program are honorary members of clan MacLaren. (Please someone correct me if I am wrong here.)

I always thought it funny that my father, who went through Wood Badge never knew that his mother's family was a sept of clan Maclaren.

Still, wear the MacLaren tartan with pride, as we are proud of our connection with scouting!

    Respectfully,
    David

    Thumbs up

You are correct about the wood badge program part, but anyone can wear the tartan. I guess you might get in trouble for wearing the scout uniform with the kilt though.
