    Early Christmas Presents

The generosity of the members on this forum never ceases to amaze me. Cancunn PM'd me about a month ago about a converted jacket which had belonged to his father. He asked me for my measurements and after deciding that it will fit offered it to me. He also requested some other measurements and after that i didnt hear from him for a bit. At the beginning of this month he PM'd me asking for my shipping address and seveal weeks later I come into work and here is a package waiting for me. CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY. I opened it and pulled out a beautifully converted tweed day jacket. I was looking it over and one of my co-workers mentioned that there was something else in the box. To my delight I pull out a glengarry. I am fiddling with the glengarry and the co worker notices another something in the box. Sitting in the box waiting for my attention is a pair of wonderful oatmeal-colored hose. Also included were several notes on the items. I packed up my goodies and hurried home to try them on. After strapping on my SWK MacLeod, I pulled on the wool kilt hose. They are a might bit thin but are EXTREMELY comfortable and even after a day of wearing them I didnt get itchy like I have with other hose. They are long enough for me to turn down twice which i love as well. I popped the glengarry on my head. I never thought I would be able to pull one off but I actually really liked it. The wonderful jacket conversion fits well, and leaves me some room to grow. I wore my new stuff around town proudly throughout the days errands. Like I said, peoples generosity never ceases to amaze me. As a struggling college student, this all means a lot to me. Thank you so much Cancunn! I will have a Cunningham tank to do all of your gifts proud soon. (Grandma started on the pleats today!).

Oh. . . I know, you all want pics. Cant find my digital camera! I will post some when I can.

I am looking forward to pictures. I have a picture of my father in his Cunningham tank and the jacket I will look for over Christmas. If I can find it I will post it. I also hope to have time over Christmas (my wife seems to think I am on leave we can run every day until late and this is a vacation for me) to knit you some winter type hose. I have some black yarn that should go well with the black in the C'Ham tartan.

    Merry Christmas

I've had similar instances with members of this clan...

I've also tried to pass it on whenever possible.

Yes, the people here are a great bunch of sterling individuals.

    Merry Christmas!

What a great spirit of sharing it shows, and a display of the spirit of the season.

Thanks for sharing, both of you. I look forward to pics.

Man, now I am really jonesing. . . custom hose. . . I never would imagine. I am having the kilt pleated to the red stripe. Any idea how that would look with the Cunningham tartan?
