    Kilted Sauna - part two

    For those who were interested in seeing the finished product...

    Oh, and yes, it works quite nicely!






    This is the door I built from scrap materials I had laying around. The only part I bought was the 2 x 2 internal framework. It's insulated with with 1" rigid foam.




    This is a shot of the platforms on the inside.

    It was wierd, after your last post, I must have been over-sensitized to that construction form, as I have seen three stacked log structures since then.

    I wonder how kilts will stand up to the heat and steam of a sauna though?

    Does it have a wood stove or electric? I think only wood heat is the best and the hotest.

    Wood heat for the traditional effect! I know there are a few saunas in da U P. Sounds like you have some experience.
