Yup - pretty much mirrored my experience. (except the photo part... )
I enjoyed being kilted much more than I enjoyed the cruise.
I'm glad you made your own personal break-through.

Thanks for sharing your adventure. This old curmudgeon, much to his wife's dismay, has shunned the floating white hotels for many years. Your story and the power of the kilt may change all that.

Hmmmm....I'm 63...single...if the inexpensive kilts did that well....hmmmm....if I wore my tanks....imagine those ladies are wealthy enough to afford a cruise....hmmmm....
Great stories, thanks...

Great stories! The only thing is, don't you think tutus will cut into your kilt budget?

Great story, and mirrors my recent experience as well. 7 days on the Mexican Riviera, and a wonderful experience every day!
Fortunately no photo op like you had, I admit I might have fallen over from shock.
Spending most of a week without trousers was a great treat and added to the enjoyment of the cruise.
Cheers and Happy Christmas,

So, with only three kilts I managed to show something slightly different to my fellow dinner guests for six of the 8 evenings. This is amazing to me, because I have held the wrong belief that in order to be a good ambassador for kilt-wearing you have to have an arsenal of many kilts in order to properly 'represent', as the fellas would say in 'da hood.'
Actually you only need one kilt! You can mix and match jackets and shirts, sporrans and hose, and come up with just as many different combinations. The beauty of the kilt is that it can be formal or informal merely depending on what you wear with it. Of course with more kilts you have a wider range of what colour accessories you can own, but just imagine the range with even one kilt.
Andrew.
